Educational Visit to Diamond Manufacturing Industry

Educational visits undoubtedly form an indispensable part of our teaching practice.

An educational visit with its natural dynamic environment provides a learning venue that matches students’ natural inclination to know more about things and engages even those with short attention span and puts the learning subject in context. We, at GIS, believe that students learn much more in the real world through trips and visits, in a manner that is not possible in a classroom. We believe that our educational trips should change attitudes and raise aspirations, through participation in new activities. Rising to new challenges and living alongside their peers help pupils to become more adaptable and confident which is critical to so many aspects of their development.

We are continuously working on bridging the gap between academics and the industry. Industrial Visit is a significant part during which students visit companies and industries and get insight of internal working environment. We arranged a visit for Learners from Grade 7 to 10 to a Diamond manufacturing industry – Laxmi Diamond. Students picked up useful information related to practical aspects of the visit which cannot be visualised in lectures. Our school has organised this visit for better learning of the students.

Gajera International School has always promoted constructive learning which stands as an amalgamation of knowledge and practical application. Such visits bridge the gap between classroom teaching and the real working world. Learners were explained about first-hand knowledge about organizational structures and modes of operations thoroughly and complete process of diamond making like mining, cutting, polishing, shaping, finishing etc. The objective of this visit was to provide real life exposure to students regarding the knowledge of business establishment.
