Fancy Dress Competition 2022-23

Fancy dress competitions have always been a popular event in schools. They bring out the creativity of students, as they come up with interesting costumes and innovative interpretations of the theme.

Gajera International School, Utran organized Fancy Dress Competition on 25th January 2023 for tiny toddlers of Pre-primary on the theme of 'Freedom Fighters'. This is a great way to introduce young students to the history of their country and the valiant individuals who fought for their freedom.

Students were dressed up as renowned freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Jawaharlal Nehru, and many others. Each student came up with their own unique interpretation of the costume and an interesting way to present the character they have chosen.

The event started with a brief introduction to the Indian freedom struggle and the major figures involved. This was followed by a round of presentations by the students, who shared a few facts about the character they are portraying. This allowed other students to learn more about the freedom fighters and their contributions to the freedom struggle.

The participants were evaluated by the judges on the basis of the accuracy of their costumes, their knowledge about the character and the overall presentation of the character. It was an entertaining and educational event that helped students learn more about their country’s history.
