Irreversible Climatic Change

Humankind has been surviving on this planet for now billion years. The planet has the ecology and the climate suitable for Life to sustain and grow in the various niches of Ecosystem. The green and blue planet is made with its unique organic combination. The plant has its identity with its unique temperature maintenance capacity which helps it to regulate Temperature and helps life to prosper day by day.

Human Life evolved from ages and with this evolution we have been doing inventions and increasing our sustainability without even thinking about its effect on the atmosphere. The benefits of the invention have been many and it has helped Human being to live a comfortable life. For Example, Invention of Plastic is remarkable and it has helped human life to make almost everything waterproof but in this race we also need to remember that plastic can be reused and recycled but if we try to destroy plastic, it will only harm the Earth’s Atmosphere.

On February 27, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued a major report that reviewed the scientific evidence on natural, ecological, social and economic spheres, concluding that climate change has already produced irreversible losses and damage to land, coastal and marine ecosystems. It is alarming time for the Earth surface as the report affirms with climate change that would be exceeding 1.50C. In the current situation, between 3% and 14% of all species on earth face a very high risk of extinction at even 1.5°C, with devastating losses at higher temperatures. This too will have an impact through ecological catastrophes. About 3.3 to 3.6 billion people will be affected which includes people living along coastlines. India with its populous coastline plays important role in manufacturing, exports and services and IPCC urges to help them devise the strategy to adapt. In the current situation, between 3% and 14% of all species on earth face a very high risk of extinction at even 1.5°C, with devastating losses at higher temperatures. This too will have an impact through ecological catastrophes.

The prognosis for a 20C warmer world is server and the report says that with higher global warming, food security risks due to climate change. Climate Resilient Development is the answer, and it would align all pathways towards sharp cuts in greenhouse gas emissions, institution of measures to absorb much of the stock of CO2 in the atmosphere, and raise sufficient climate finance for adaptation. Let’s join together to ensure to keep the temperature stable and the Life on earth safe.
