National Bird Day Celebration
Amongst all the living creatures present on planet Earth, birds are the most magnificent one. They are vibrant, bustling with melodious music and lively colours. National Bird Day is celebrated to recognize unique contribution of birds in our life and to conserve the birds.
There are several organizations that run campaigns and help in the conservation of birds.
Birds have been used by Human in various purposes like decor, pets, food etc.
It is estimated that almost 1200 bird species will be lost forever by extinction by the end of this century. It has become very important that we begin raising awareness about the threats birds face by illegal trading, climate change and diseases.
National birds Day is observed on 5th January to increase awareness and to prohibit extinction of birds.
Birds have ecological value as important elements of natural systems. Birds provide insect and rodent control, plant pollination and seed dispersal which result in tangible benefits to people.
Birds are a part of the balance of Nature. There is a strong interdependence between all living things in the gigantic web of life. The Condition of clean air, food, healthy plants and safe places to raise young that make good homes for birds and other wildlife, also make good home for people, a habitat good for birds is a good environment for people.
