National Broadcasting Day

National Broadcasting Day is celebrated every year in India on 23 July to mark the first-ever radio broadcast in India that went on air from the Bombay Station under the Indian Broadcasting Company in 1927.

To celebrate the event, All India Radio (AIR) organized a symposium on Creation of New India and Broadcasting Medium in New Delhi. Indian radio had an enormous impact on the creation of an independent India.

Gajera International School, Utran celebrated this day in a very unique way. Gajerians showcased their confidence and creativity when they performed as RJs and News Readers. Learners from Grade 5 to 10 participated enthusiastically and read the news as News anchors.

They had a visit of ‘Hind TV’ channel also to experience how News Anchors work before going Live to the public. It was a great learning experience for all of them.
