Preserving Our Past, Enriching Our Future: Celebrating World Heritage Day

Updated: Apr 25

World Heritage Day is celebrated every year on April 18th to raise awareness about the importance of cultural and natural heritage sites around the world. This year, Gajera International School, Utran celebrated this special day by organizing various activities for their learners. From scribing and thumb printing activities to creating reels and blogs, the students had a great time learning about the importance of preserving our heritage.

The pre-primary students were introduced to the concept of World Heritage Day through scribing and thumb printing activities. They used different colors to create beautiful patterns and designs that symbolized the rich cultural heritage of India. These activities not only helped them learn about their country's heritage but also enhanced their fine motor skills and creativity.

The primary learners brought photos of heritage sights they had visited and shared their experiences with their classmates. They talked about the significance of these sites and the importance of preserving them for future generations. The learners were fascinated by the stories and the history behind these sites and were motivated to learn more about their country's cultural heritage.

The higher grade learners took their learning to the next level by creating reels and blogs on the heritage places they visited. They used their creative skills to showcase the beauty and significance of these sites through pictures and videos.

The Learners not only had fun but also learned about the importance of preserving our cultural and natural heritage. These activities helped instil a sense of pride and respect for their country's heritage in the learners, and we hope that they will continue to carry this forward in their future endeavours.
