World Health Day

On the occasion of World Health Day, a seminar was conducted in Gajera International School, Utran on 7th April, 2023 to create awareness among students of Grade 3 to 11 about the importance of keeping good health. The seminar was conducted by Dr. Ankita Vachchani, who discussed various aspects of maintaining good health, including physical fitness, healthy eating habits, and mental well-being.

The seminar began with the doctor highlighting the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, which includes regular physical exercise, a balanced diet, and sufficient sleep. She emphasized that physical fitness is not just about looking good, but it is essential for leading a healthy and productive life. The doctor also talked about the importance of regular check-ups and vaccinations to prevent illnesses.

The doctor also discussed the importance of healthy eating habits, which is often neglected by children in their daily lives. She stressed the importance of consuming a balanced diet that includes all food groups, such as fruits, vegetables, proteins, and carbohydrates. She also explained the importance of staying hydrated by drinking sufficient water throughout the day.

Another crucial aspect of maintaining good health that was highlighted during the seminar was mental well-being. The doctor discussed the impact of stress on mental health and how it can affect physical health as well. She advised students to engage in activities that help them relax and manage stress, such as practicing yoga, meditation, or pursuing a hobby.

In conclusion, the seminar conducted on World Health Day was an excellent initiative by our school to educate students about the importance of good health. It not only highlighted the significance of physical fitness and healthy eating habits but also emphasized the importance of mental well-being. Such initiatives are essential to creating awareness about health issues and promoting a healthy lifestyle among young students.
